General
Aoyama Professionals (APro) is an internship program that connects international talent with innovative Japanese companies in Tokyo. We provide structured, mentored internship experiences across various professional tracks.
Most internships are based in Tokyo, Japan. We offer on-site, remote, and hybrid options depending on the host company and position.
We offer programs of 6, 8, or 12 weeks duration. The length can be customized based on your availability and the host company's needs.
For Interns
Japanese language skills are not required for most positions, as our host companies work in English-speaking environments. However, basic Japanese can enhance your experience.
We accept current university students and recent graduates. Specific requirements vary by position, but we value motivation, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Program fees cover our placement and support services. Some host companies may offer stipends or compensation separately. Details are provided during the matching process.
We provide guidance on visa requirements and documentation, but visa application and fees are the intern's responsibility. Most participants enter on student or working holiday visas.
For Companies
We work with startups, SMEs, and larger companies across various industries. The key requirements are meaningful projects, English communication capability, and commitment to mentoring.
Host companies should provide a supervisor/mentor who can dedicate a few hours per week to guidance and feedback. We handle most administrative aspects.
We carefully screen and match candidates, but if issues arise, we work with both parties to resolve them. In rare cases, we can arrange alternative placements.
There is no fee for host companies. Our program fees are covered by the interns. Companies provide the work experience and mentorship.
Yes! Many of our placements lead to full-time opportunities. We encourage this and can help facilitate the transition.
